Next three weeks

Friends-

The next three weeks we will be having some special events.

Sunday, October 28-
BONFIRE! S’mores! Hot dogs! Chili!
Devotion! Middle school, high school and college age, join us Sunday, Oct 28 from 6:30-8:30 at Mike and Ellen Dixon’s house (7641 Eby Road) for a great time! Guys bring a 2-liter and girls bring a snack to share.

Sunday, November 4-
Harvest Celebration!
No Wire. Join us for dinner as a church family at 5 p.m. (turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, salads, buttered rolls and pumpkin pie). Tickets are only $6 per person ($4 for
children under 12) and $20 for a family. Guest tickets are available for $1. Dinner will be followed by a music program.

Sunday, November 11-
Area Youth Bash! Middle school, high school, college age, bring a snack or a 2-liter and join us for a gathering of several local churches at Christ’s Church at Georgetown. The bash will be held from 6-8 p.m. that night and we will have games, giveaways, worship together and a special message from Chris Steele.

Witness to those who don’t know

Story of Peter and John when the Sanhedrin told them to stop speaking in the name of Jesus. They could not help but speak about what they had seen and heard. Acts 4:12 says, “Salvation isn’t found anywhere else, but in Jesus Christ.”
Experience: Scripted (maybe video taped) testimony of a dead friend who didn’t know Christ

Last minute info about CIY…

What to bring: Bedding (pillow, blanket, sheet, etc), towel, personal toiletries, Bible, notebook, one fan and one cooler per room, clothes for 6 days, including for games during rec time, enough money for one fast food meal on the way down
What not to bring: Cell phones, mp3 players or iPods, headphones of any kind, drugs, alcohol, knives, guns, weapons of mass destruction or small furry animals.
Other- We will leave the church Monday at 9:00 am. We will return Saturday about 10:00 am. For a complete dress code go to www.georgetownjesus.blogspot.com and click on the image.
